How to Turn Down the Mental Chatter Part 2

February 6, 2013

Following on from Part 1 – let’s delve just a little deeper into exactly why we have mind chatter. I posted on meditation techniques here under the title ‘Have You Ever Felt Alone???’ and it, strange to me at the time, didn’t get the usual response.

Then I realised something.

The meditation practices I teach enable people to get in touch with their emotions. SCARY SHIT!

Yep – BUT necessary – why?

BECAUSE GETTING IN TOUCH WITH OUR EMOTIONS – AND RELEASING THEM – TURNS DOWN THE MENTAL CHATTER.

The reason for this is simple, we create mental chatter as a diversion so we don’t have to feel the pain but trust me – it is worth going through it, embracing it, for all that SPACE at the other end. Wouldn’t you like to BREATHE again? I mean – really breathe? Fresh air? How about we both do it – right now:

Take another look and use my words to trigger your emotions: You Can Do This There you will find two meditation practices that will help you to transform negative emotions, release anxiety and low mood – and TURN DOWN THE CHATTER.

Do It. I trust you.
